Gabriela Kopperová
After graduating from the Conservatory in Prague with Professor Helena Tatermuschová, Gabriela Kopperová went on studying voice at the Music Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, with Professor Naděžda Kniplová. Gabriela Kopperová’s home stage is the F. X. Šalda Theatre in Liberec, where she has sung a number of soprano parts, for instance Marguerite in Faust, Micaela in Carmen, Nedda in Pagliacci, Adina in L’elisir d’amore, Amelia Simon Boccanegra etc. Recently, she has made a successful production of demanding parts from lesser known operas – Tamara in Rubinstein’s The Demon and Fidelio in Puccini’s Edgar. She is also a sought after operetta diva (title roles Kalmán’s Die Csárdásfürstin and Gräfin Mariza and Lehár’s The Merry Widow). As a guest singer at the South Bohemian Theatre she sang the role of Fiordiligi in Mozart’s opera Così fan tutte.
