“They’re here. All around us. We’ve always known about their existence, but we never thought it would go this far. I’m writing these lines in an abandoned underground shelter under an old foundry. We will have to leave it because we’re running out of water. Yet whatever happens, I swear that we are not going to surrender our brains easily. And as long as we breathe, we will carry the fundamental values of our civilisation along with us – humanity, mutual respect and understanding. And the manual flame thrower XM42.”
